Rachel Roth Joins Campaign Consultation

A big warm welcome to our newest team member, Rachel Roth.   Ms. Roth serves as the Executive Assistant of Campaign Consultation, Inc working directly with President Linda Brown Rivelis and CEO Steven Rivelis to facilitate day-to-day operations of the organization.

Originally from the West coast, Ms. Roth spent several years working in the entertainment industry as an actor, appearing on television shows such as “Titus,” “Veronica Mars,” “ER” and others.   She “retired” from the industry to follow her heart and pursue a career in public service.   Ms. Roth holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland.

In addition to her work at Campaign, Ms. Roth writes for Baltimore Gay Life Magazine.   She also works at Camp Highlight – a week-long summer camp for youth with Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) parents.

When she’s not working or volunteering, you can find Ms. Roth running with her dog or reading.

Campaign Consultation Hires Robyn Stegman

Please join us in welcoming Robyn Stegman as our newest Project Specialist.  She’s passionate about all things national and community service. And, she has the education and experience to make her an ideal team member.

Robyn served as Associate Director for Civic and Global Engagement at Mary Baldwin College, where she worked with students, faculty and community partners to develop tools, campaigns, and resources to transform students into community change-makers.  She is the founder of Geeks for Good, an organization dedicated to connecting tech savvy volunteers to nonprofits to provide social media, web, and graphic design services. Robyn also served as a VISTA member, providing training and technical assistance to high poverty schools and organizing a state-wide Global Youth Service Day.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations with a minor in Peacemaking and Nonviolent Conflict Resolution.  She also participated in the Phoenix Project – Social Innovation program, an intensive initiative focused on applying entrepreneurial approaches to civic challenges.

Campaign Consultation Hires Jasmine Touton as Project Specialist

Her success as an online community organizer has grown from her background in journalism.

Jasmine comes to us from the national Campus Kitchens Project [an MLK Day grantee for many years], where she was the Social Media Coordinator.  In this position, she served as the media liaison to 31 campus groups across the US.  During MLK Day 2011, she used video, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and Ning to generated significant visibility and support for the more than 7,000 volunteers associated with the Kitchen’s initiative.

While at Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation, as the Communications Associate, she developed websites, implemented new media strategies, crafted press releases, and worked on their e-newsletter which had a readership of over 6,000 constituents.  Her journalism background includes work at the Washingtonian Magazine, freelance work for Baltimore Magazine, and she holds a Journalism degree from American University where she graduated magna cum laude. …Learn More

Campaign Consultation Hires Julia Freed Krieger as Project Specialist

Prior to joining Campaign Consultation, Julia served as a Program Manager at the International Youth Foundation, where she provided technical assistance to community-based NGOs in thirteen countries through training, webinars, online meetings, development of curricula and support materials, such as blogs, best practices publications, and videos.

Her portfolio included the Johnson & Johnson Community Health Workers Initiative, in Zambia; USAID and World Learning-funded Planning for Life Project, in Sri Lanka, Kenya, Jordan, and Peru; Wrigley Y.E.S. Project, in India, Spain, Poland, Russia, and the Philippines; and Empowering Africa’s Young People Initiative, in Uganda, Zambia and Tanzania.

It will not come as a surprise that she is a former Peace Corps member, stationed in the Federated States of Micronesia.  She has also served as a Regional Coordinator for AFS Intercultural Programs and worked for the Blair-Edison community association, in Baltimore City.

Join Campaign Consultation in welcoming Andrea Smid to the team!

Andrea Smid comes to Campaign Consultation with a strong background in social work and community organizing. In her role as project specialist Andrea assists with project research, content development and other support for the Social Innovation Fund, Martin Luther King, Jr.-Day of Service and other projects.

Prior to joining Campaign Consultation, Inc., Andrea was involved with the Center for School Mental Health at the University of Maryland-Baltimore where she was responsible for helping families gain access to resources, coordinating and planning parent workshops, developing programmatic materials and identifying community mental health supports. Andrea is also a former Peace Corps health volunteer who served in The Gambia working on maternal and child health care projects.

Andrea holds a B.A. in both anthropology and sociology from the University of Montana. Andrea also holds a M.S.W. from the University of Maryland-Baltimore with a specialization in social outreach and community organizing. Andrea is a licensed social worker in the state of Maryland.

Please join the the team at Campaign Consultation and I in welcoming Demetria Barrett to the Campaign Consultation team as our new Finance, Human Resources and Office Manager.

Demetria comes to Campaign Consultation with a seasoned background in financial accounting and internal audits.  Prior to joining Campaign Consultation she worked for Surgi-Center, Hamilton Associates, Peak Technologies and as a financial consultant.  In addition, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

She has excellent analytical skills, working knowledge of non-profit organizations and consulting firms, experience with federal OMB A-122 regulations, and a strong desire to be a team player.

We are so excited to be expanding and deepening our New Business Development efforts with the hiring of Lorilei Barsh.

Lorilei comes to us with a strong background in business administration and marketing. Her most recent professional experience was with The Foster Group where she assisted her clients in selling their products and services to various governemnt entities. And, she has significant experience working with GSA schedules.

In addition, she has worked for the Internet Strategy Group, developed a marketing analysis of the Voss Water Company and Starbucks, created commercials for Clear Channel Radio, raised funds for the Wicomico Arts Council, and worked with D.C. United to integreate social networking into their marketing campaigns.
